The Disappearing Art of Letter-Writing

The Mirror Visions Ensemble explores The Disappearing Art of Letter Writing: letters of love and vengeance, reports from the North Pole, missives asking for money or forgiveness. Featuring the newly-commissioned "What Shall I Say?" from Tom Cipullo. along with works by Gwyneth Walker, Cole Porter, Erich Wolfgang Korngold, Dominick Argento, Richard Pearson Thomas and Christopher Berg. With soprano Justine Aronson, tenors Scott Murphree and Daniel McGrew, baritone Mischa Bouvier, and pianist Alan Darling.

Chelsea Opera (Artistic Director Leonarda Priore) presents The Parting alongside The House on Kronenstrasse. The Parting is a one-act opera based on the life of Hungarian poet Miklós Radnóti by Tom Cipullo and librettist David Mason. Featuring Peter Kendall Clark, Laura Strickling, and Sarah Heltzel. The House on Kronenstrasse was composed by Ben Moore to a story by author Shira Nayman. Featuring Merritt Janson, Cynthia Shaw, and Megan Nielson. Stage direction by Lynne Hayden-Findlay and musical direction by Ben Grow.
